Tammy Isbell, "Rose Bernini"
Isbell garnered a Gemini nomination as Best Actress for her lead role in Paradise Falls. She has appeared in Intimate Stranger, This Is Wonderland and Under The Dragon's Tail. Other selected film and television credits include: Wild Card, America's Prince: JFK Jr. Story, and The Eleventh Hour. She has also appeared in such theatre productions as Romance Ranch, Conduct of Life, Alice in Wonderland, Beware the Quickly Who and Rana's Pond.
Rose has had a hectic two years. She gave birth to little Wendy on July 13, just over a year and a half ago. It was a long labour, fourteen hours, but Tony was there to help with her breathing and calm her by singing show tunes and selections from the Il Divo songbook.
Later that summer, Tony was fired from the New PF…or quit, depending on whose story you believe. Either way, Rose became the sole money earner for the family. Tony always wanted to pursue his lifelong dream of acting professionally, so Rose reluctantly agreed to go back to the boutique full-time.
Rose loves her baby and she loves Tony. She's proud of her business. But she questions whether she is a good enough mother; Tony is so much better at parenting. Sometimes she feels inadequate. Her business is failing and her baby would rather play with Daddy. Plus, if the business fails, not only will she have ruined her life, but she will have also crushed Tony's dream and jeopardized Wendy's future.
