LOS ANGELES, CA – July 23, 2008 – here!, America's premium gay television network is pleased to announce the premiere of the second season of the hit supernatural series "The Lair." The sophomore season of "The Lair" will consist of 9 episodes, with the first episode debuting on Friday, September 5th.
Set in a small town, the series' first season revolved around suspicions that arose when young men turned up dead with vicious, mysterious wounds on their necks. Determined to solve the crimes, a young journalist, Thom (David Moretti), discovered clues leading him to a private gentlemen's club called "The Lair," a lust-filled and erotically energized environment where patrons are able to fulfill their deepest and darkest desires. As he closed in on the truth, he became ensnared by a coven of vampires led by the enigmatic Damian (Peter Stickles of Shortbus).
In season two, "The Lair" boldly goes where no show has ever dared to go before. We pick up where we left off…in the midst of the warring factions of vampires we are introduced to Dr. Jake Waldman, a botanist with a mysterious plant that seems to have a mind of its own and Ian, a wandering lost soul with a dark secret and an even darker beast that lurks within. "Wild" is the best word to sum up this year's scintillating season.
"Nothing speaks quite as well to a high-quality sophisticated audience as a good gay vampire series. Our orthodontically-challenged hotties return with blood on their lips and a chip on their shoulder," said Paul Colichman, Co-Founder and President of here! Networks.
