March 18 – here!, America's premium gay television network, has announced that it will premiere new episodes of the sizzling series Paradise Falls. A brand new season will launch on the network on Friday, April 11th and debut 26 original episodes.
Welcome to Paradise Falls where the weather is always clear, the water is always calm and the residents are always up for some drama and intrigue. Set in a vacation spot in the Northern woods and featuring a large and diverse cast of characters, "Paradise Falls" is poised to be a queer cross between "Northern Exposure" and "Desperate Housewives." It features an array of steamy love affairs, plot twists and suspenseful cliff-hangers that are sure to keep its audience guessing.
The show opens with the same-sex marriage between Nick and Sacha, but things do not go as planned, as the homophobic Francis shows up to stir up some mayhem. This causes chaos at the nuptials, as the fiery Trish impedes Francis' drunken tirade and they begin to wrestle alongside the aisle. Sacha, peeved that his dreams of a perfect wedding have veered out of control, forcefully urges everyone to stop and "Pretend that nothing ever happened!" as a couple of wedding guests accidentally go careening into the ocean. But we all know that a show that begins with a wedding usually doesn't end in "happily ever after," and we are given clues as to what may lie ahead for this soon-to-be beleaguered union.
Chock-full-of gay weddings, porno-shoots, creepy cults, missing bodies, Pride Day celebrations, racy couples, boys with boys, girls with girls and an election full of dirty tricks, this series promises to keep its audience whet with anticipation as it awaits the next steamy plot twist.
"We are very excited to be airing 26 brand new episodes of "Paradise Falls," while in the process showcasing our ongoing commitment to captivating storylines and multi-dimensional characters in gay and lesbian programming. here! produces more content of this kind than any other producer, network or distribution company in the world," says Paul Colichman, CEO and Co-Founder of here! Networks.
Produced by Paula J. Smith and starring a beautiful and talented cast that includes the comedic talents of Julie Brown ("Earth Girls are Easy," "Six Feet Under") as a porn director, "Paradise Falls" promises to be funny, scandalous and take its audience on one great bumpy ride!
